Creative Writing Comic Book Page

Monday, March 16th, 2020 - Tumblr Blog

I’m putting together some fun creative writing ideas for kids who are home studying today. This is for anyone who wants ideas for stories, writing and creativity as we go through these strange new times.

I’m just getting my head around this, so here’s a fun start for today.

PROMPT: I GOT UP TODAY AND DISCOVERED…..

Kids can use a blank sheet of paper and write this, or they can use one of these fun comic strips for their own comic book creation.

These templates here can be printed out or you can get your older kids to draw their own shapes.

TIPS:

For older kids, think about who the main character could be. They could write about themselves, or they could write about someone else. They can use this character interview: http://www.alicekuipers.com/workshop-seven/

For younger kids, you can do the writing for them as they tell the story. They can draw or scribble or just have fun with the page.

THERE IS NO WRONG WAY TO TELL A STORY.
